Deeb Not a Sorel-oser
A very large pot played out right off the bat here at the WPT Grand Prix de Paris High Roller Final: Heads Up Stage (to give it its full title). Freddy Deeb raised on the button to 18k, called by Sorel Mizzi in the big blind.
Flop: Mizzi bet out 24k, and was quickly raised to 75k. He thought for a while before making the call.
Turn: Now Mizzi checked it to Deeb, who also checked.
River: Mizzi reached for chips, selected 80k and slowly put it in the middle. Deeb didn't look delighted, but wasn't folding quickly.
"All I can beat is a bluff," he said, twice. Then he called.
Mizzi revealed which wasn't in the bluff category - thus he took down that hefty pot and even more of a chip lead - 890k to 355k.
