"I Almost Folded"

Level 2

Stud

We picked up the action on sixth street when Daniel Negreanu checked his aces and Jeff Madsen, who was showing four diamonds, bet 400. Negreanu stood up and began counting Madsen's diamonds on his fingers.

"One, two, three, four," Negreanu joked. He then sat back down and made the call. Negreanu checked once again on seventh, and Madsen tossed out another 400. As he is prone to do, Negreanu began to talk out the hand.

"I have the ace of diamonds," he said, ruling that out of Madsen's hand. Eventually he made the call and was glad he did as all Madsen could muster was a pair of tens.

"I almost folded," Negreanu admitted.

Negreanu: {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{a-Spades} / {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Madsen: {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} / {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts}
