Jonathan Bussieres Wins Event #12: Win the Button (CAD $2,099)

Jonathan Bussieres is having a pretty solid World Cup of Cards. He started today in seventh on the tournament leaderboard standings, after bagging and qualifying his second NL Hold'em Quantum flight. He just won the Win the Button No-Limit Hold em tournament, after beating Andrew Nortcliff in a very brief heads-up match. Bussieres took home CAD $2,099 for the win. The field drew 92 players at CAD $110 a piece.

On the final hand, Bussieres got all in with {a-Hearts}{7-Spades} and was against the {k-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Nortcliff did make a pair but the board gave Bussieres trip aces.

The final table dropped from six to two very quickly, with three of the eliminations happening within about five minutes.

Luciano Pelliciotta finished third when he called off his remaining stack from the big blind against Andrew Nortcliff. He was behind but couldn't catch up after Nortcliff hit a pair.

Xavier Chayer-St-[Removed:361] went out in fourth. He got all in with pocket eights against Nortcliff who held {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. Nortcliff hit a queen on the flop and Chayer-St-[Removed:361] couldn't catch up.

Yves Deschamps got busted by Nortcliff as well when he got his remaining stack in with jacks against kings. Nortcliff hit a king on the flop to go even further ahead and Deschamps finished in fifth.

Etienne Guay finished in sixth after losing, and then winning, a double against Luciano Pelliciotta. He then busted to Jonathan Bussieres. Bussieres shoved with {9-Spades}{8-Spades} and beat the {a-}{j-} of Guay.

Siamak S. was also eliminated by Bussieres. He got kings in against ace-high and Bussieres hit an ace to win the hand. Andrew Cernoploc finished seventh, William Blais and Alim Ismail each finished ninth and tenth respectively.
