Timothy Deering Bags Second Stack in Second to Last Quantum No-Limit Hold em Flight
Timothy Deering bagged a second stack in the second to last Quantum No-Limit Hold em flight. This flight was the only $550 flight and 20% of the field made it through. The flight drew a total of 35 entries, so six other players booked their seats in Day 2 on September 13.
Deering bagged for the second time and earned the $400 cash plus $1,500 for forfeiting his smaller stack moving forward. His previous stack was 224,220. [Removed:105] is the big stack overall and has held the big stack ever since Day 1b with 399,100. He almost didn't bag, he was all in at risk against Senthuran Vijayaratnam. They both had aces, but Vijayaratnam had the better kicker. The board ran out giving Deering a chop and he managed to bag after Vijayaratnam would later bust two players on the final hand.
There are two more chances for players to get into Day 2 without directly buying in. A $240 Mega Satellite tomorrow night at 8 p.m. will give away Day 2 seats that start with 150,000 or roughly 62 big blinds. Players can also buy directly in for $2,200 and also receive 150,000.
The final starting flight is Monday at 7 p.m. The buy-in for that flight is $250. The Quantum No-Limit Hold em tournament was is event #1 of the World Cup of Cards. The first of the ten starting flights kicked off the entire series that concludes September 14th with the final day of the Quantum. The Quantum is a $200,000 Guarantee tournament.
