Pilgrim Fires On River
Four players including Dwyte Pilgrim saw a flop of . All four players opted to check and the board paired for a second time when the fell on fourth street.
The first player to act shot 1,450 into the center of the table and it folded around to Pilgrim.
"You're the only one who could have it," said Pilgrim. "But you could also be bluffing." Pilgrim tossed in a call.
The came on fifth street and Pilgrim's opponent bet 1,800 into the pot. Pilgrim raised to 5,075 and his opponent quickly folded his hand, awarding Pilgrim the pot.
"I didn't have a jack, obviously," said Pilgrim as he raked in his new chips. "I thought I had the best hand, though, you know?"
Pilgrim is currently sitting pretty with about 37,500 in tournament chips.
