Tough to Bust Chidwick

Level 13 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Stephen Chidwick has been having an incredible week thus far, racking up nearly $1 million over the course of six events. To some, he has been unstoppable and Sean Winter was just the latest casualty.

Winter opened to 18,000 from under the gun and the action folded to Chidwick in the small blind. He shoved all in for 133,000 and Winter quickly made the call. Chidwick was dominated holding {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds} against Winter's {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} but we've seen him win these before.

The flop came {j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Winter was still way in front with Chidwick drawing to just three tens in the deck. When the turn card hit, it just happened to be the {10-Clubs} and Chidwick spiked his three-outer. The {3-Clubs} on the river changed nothing and Chidwick doubled through.
