Vahdat Takes One Down

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Vitalijs Zavorotnijs raised from the under the gun position to 85,000 and it folded to Arvin Vahdat on the button. He called the raise from Zavorotnijs to see a flop and both blinds folded their hands.

The flop came down {9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and Zavorotnijs continued with a bet of 80,000. Vahdat called to see the turn come down.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Zavorotnijs checked this time instead of firing again. Vahdat took over the betting lead with a bet of 115,000. Zavorotnijs called and the river was the {5-Diamonds}.

Zavorotnijs checked again and then decided to give up the hand when Vahdat bet 135,000.

Yaron Turgeman Eliminated in 14th Place (€6,520)

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Yaron Turgeman moved his last seven big blinds to the middle with {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} from the under the gun position and big blind Amir Shomron called from the big blind with {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}.

The dealer spread out the {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{K-Spades} flop and it was all but over for Shomron. The turn was the {7-Spades} and the river was the {4-Diamonds} which meant Turgeman didn't hit his straight and got eliminated from the tournament.

Slow Start

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Despite the average stack being quite shallow with just below 30 big blinds, it's a very slow start in the tournament. Most pots are taken down with a single preflop raise.

[Removed:402] Eliminated in 16th Place (€5,870)

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Vojtech Susta opened to 85,000 from early position. [Removed:402] three-bet jammed to 455,000 and Susta quickly called.

[Removed:402]: {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Vojtech Susta: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

Susta was ahead the entire hand as the {j-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} board ran all blanks for Rinkevicius.

After the hand, Rinkevicius headed to the cashier to collect €5,870 for 16th place.

Chutrov Doubles Off Shomron

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Daniel Chutrov
Daniel Chutrov

Daniel Chutrov opened to 80,000 from early position. The action folded to Amir Shomron in the big blind, who three-bet more than the 770,000 Chutrov had in his stack. Chutrov wasted no time and quickly made the call.

Amir Shomron: {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Daniel Chutrov: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}

Shomron held a minor advantage in the hand before the flop. However, the advantage went over to Chutrov after he paired the {A-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop. The {9-Hearts} on the turn and the {7-Diamonds} on the river were of no help to Shomron and Chutrov doubled up.

Vinokurov Raises Three in a Row

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Anton Vinokurov has been quite the aggressive player yesterday and he's not slowing down today. He just raised three hands in a row.

In the first hand, Vinokurov raised to 90,000 from late position and he got called by Vitalijs Zavorotnijs. They both checked on all streets to have the {Q-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} board out there. Zavorotnijs tabled {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and Vinokurov showed {A-Spades}{6-Spades} to take down the first hand.

In the second hand, Vinokurov raised from late position to 90,000 and his left-hand neighbor, Pawel Zoladkiewicz called. Florin Elisei three-bet from the button to 355,000 and both Vinokurov and Zoladkiewicz gave up.

In the third hand, the Russian player raised to 90,000 again, this time from middle position. Zoladkiewicz three-bet to 195,000 and it folded to small blind Lucian Bera. He went into the tank for a couple minutes before letting go of his hand. The rest of the players in the hand folded as well and Zoladkiewicz took down the pot.
