Kuznetsov Takes From Foord-Brown

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Anton Kuznetsov raised to 120,000 with {A-Spades}{K-Spades} and got four (!) callers: Francis Foord-Brown {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}, [Removed:158] {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, Bhavin Khatri {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Dejan Govedic {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}.

The flop was {7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} and Kuznetsov fired 225,000, which only Foord-Brown called. On the {2-Spades} turn, Kuznetsov bet 400,000 and Foord-Brown called again. Both players checked the {5-Spades} on the river.

Kuznetsov outkicked Foord-Brown and created some distance between the two.

Tahvonen Escapes Again

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Rauno Tahvonen shoved 230,000 with {K-Spades}{9-Hearts}, less than four big blinds. Anton Kuznetsov reluctantly called it off with {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} in the big blind.

However, the tables were turned on Tahvonen as Kuznetsov flopped the mortal nuts on the {8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop. Once again, the Estonian found himself in a deep hole.

The turn {10-Diamonds} wasn't helpful, but the river {6-Spades} gave Tahvonen the chop out he was looking for. The 26-year old, who qualified for just €10 on Unibet, still has a shot at the title.

Counts

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

[Removed:158] won a medium sized pot with {A-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} on a {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{5-Hearts} board against a bluffing Francis Foord-Brown. Van Lancker picked up around 700,000 in chips in that hand.

Kevin Barden Eliminated in 7th Place (£10,940)

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Kevin Barden
Kevin Barden

Kevin Barden was down to three big blinds and shoved {J-Clubs}{10-Spades} in early position. Gerrit Van Lancker isolated with {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} on the button to get the showdown heads-up.

The {A-Diamonds} in the window was brutal for Barden, but combined with the {6-Spades} and {Q-Clubs} the German still had a gutshot straight draw. Neither turn {3-Diamonds} nor river {9-Spades} was the king he was looking for and he was eliminated.

Barden was the first player to go home with five figures and received £10,940.

Govedic Doubles With Aces

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

After losing aces to ace-king, Dejan Govedic picked up {A-Hearts}{A-Spades} again. He limped in from the small blind and got what he wanted when Anton Kuznetsov put him all-in from the big blind.

Kuznetsov had the optional {K-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and was drawing dead after the turn.

Miracle Escape Saves Tahvonen

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Rauno "Ben" Tahvonen
Rauno "Ben" Tahvonen

Dejan Govedic picked up {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades} and raised to 120,000. Rauno Tahvonen, with just 140,000 left, finally found a big hand in {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}, only to be crushed by the best hand in poker.

Calm as always, Tahvonen awaited his fate as the flop came down {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{4-Spades}, which opened up two outs for Tahvonen to pull the miracle.

As if it was scripted, the {K-Spades} landed on the turn to give Tahvonen trip kings and the lead. The shocked Estonian put his hands towards his mouth, in awe of what just transpired in front of him. The river was the {4-Clubs} and Tahvonen nearly tripled up.

"Bam!" the Estonian yelled, still baffled by what just happened. Even with the escape, the skateboard instructor is still short with 7 big blinds.

Tahvonen Also in Red Zone

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Rauno Tahvonen defended {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds} with a short stack against Anton Kuznetsov, who opened with {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. The board ran out {J-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and got checked until the river.

Tahvonen bet 80,000, Kuznetsov finally sprung the trap by moving all in and the Estonian folded with just 260,000 behind.
