Momentum for Vergeer

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Paul Vergeer raised it up with an ace-king and was called by Mateusz Moolhuizen, whose cards were not showing. On the {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop, both players checked and Vergeer then bet the {J-Spades} turn for 130,000 to win the pot.

Soon after, Vergeer raised to 140,000 with the {3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Moolhuizen called with the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}. On the flop {5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, Moolhuizen check-called a bet worth 165,000 and the {5-Spades} fell on the turn. Vergeer took down the pot with a second barrel worth 325,000 and increased his stack to 25% of the chips in play.

One for Each

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Paul Vergeer limped in with the {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Mateusz Moolhuizen raised to 200,000 with the {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. Vergeer called and bet the {6-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop for 190,000 to take down the pot.

One hand later, Moolhuizen raised to 130,000 with the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades} and Vergeer defended his {10-Spades}{8-Spades}. This time, Moolhuizen flopped better on {J-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} and took down the pot with a continuation bet.

Hans Sybrandi Eliminated in 3rd Place (€33,400)

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante
Hans Sybrandi
Hans Sybrandi

Hans Sybrandi moved all in for 340,000 from the small blind and Mateusz Moolhuizen called from the big blind to put the fellow Dutchman at risk.

Sybrandi: {K-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Moolhuizen: {10-Spades}{6-Spades}

Sybrandi got it in ahead but had a lot of outs to dodge, as the flop came {Q-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Spades} to give Moolhuizen a flush draw. It was all over after the {7-Spades} turn and the {7-Hearts} river was meaningless. Sybrandi was eliminated in 3rd place for a payday of €33,400 and Moolhuizen will start the heads-up duel for his second Unibet Open title with a commanding lead.

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Sybrandi called off with king-high and fell back to an even shorter stack.
