Spina had a pair of kings and Nitsche had two pair, sixes and fours. The river came the 8? and Nitsche held to win the pot. Spina had stood up to leave as the chip counts were close, but he was left with 120,000 behind.
Spina then shoved all in from under the gun for his remaining chips and was called by Nitsche. Spina had Q?2? and Nitsche had K?Q?. The board ran out J?9?K?5?10?. Nitsche made a pair of kings on the flop, but Spina hit the runner-runner flush to double his stack.
Spina was back up to 250,000 but with just a few big blinds he was still firmly in the danger zone. He shoved again from the button and was called by Benjamin Spragg in the big blind.
