Welcome to Day 1b of the PokerStars United Kingdom & Ireland Poker Tour Nottingham 1,100 Main Event live from Dusk Till Dawn Poker Club.

The UKIPT circuit makes its long-awaited return to the home of British poker, Dusk Till Dawn, with two Day 1 flights as well as plenty of side events. The PokerStars UKIPT Nottingham Main Event features a 500,000 guarantee which will be sure to generate lots of interest from poker players across the United Kingdom & Ireland and beyond.

The action will start at 12:00 p.m. local time and players will start with 30,000 chips and start with 40 minute levels where the blinds will start at 100/100 with an 100 big blind ante. From level 17 the clock will increase to 60 minutes as players enter the money. There will be regular 15-minute break every two/three levels with a 60-minute dinner break after level 10 at approximately 7:25 p.m. local time.

Late registration remains open until the end of the tenth level, during which players can enter two times per flight. Each Day 1 ends when only 15% of the field remain in which they will enter Day 2 having locked up at least a min cash. For Day 2 the survivors from both flights will join together on Saturday 30th July. The Main Event will crown its champion on Sunday 31st July.

The Day 1a flight saw 149 entrants, including many re-entries, with 21 players bagging and tagging for Day 2. It is worth noting that players can re-enter once per flight if they bust their first bullet, many players have and will continue to take advantage of this option as they try and grind up a stack for Day 2. Mark Whitney bagged the chip lead with 385,000 as he cruised all day. Other players who bagged big included Ben Jones (376,000), Majid Nadeem (359,000) and Alberto Speranzoni (359,000).

PokerStars Team Pro players Benjamin "Spraggy" Spragg and Mason Pye are expected to be in attendance for the main event. Fellow Team Pro player Georgina James failed to bag but she will have an opportunity to try again in flight 1b. Jack Hardcastle also failed to secure a bag but will be expected to re-enter for Day 1b along with players from the 230 Mini Main as well as from the 5,300 Super High Roller which both concluded yesterday.
