Salter Finds a Double Through Ivey
A few hours ago, Jack Salter tweeted about sitting on the same table as legend Phil Ivey when re-entering and sure enough the Brit just doubled through Ivey in the second-last hand of the night.
After 10 years of poker, and lots of HS action over the last couple years, we are finally at the same table as the one and only Phil Ivey!
— Jack Salter (@jackziyang)
The hand itself started rather innocent, as Ivey raised from under the gun and Salter defended out of the big blind. On the flop, things were still very common with a check, a continuation bet of 15,000 by Ivey and a call. However, after the turn, the duo headed to a river of with more than 200,000 in the middle.
Salter checked and called all in for his last 131,000, Ivey then briefly showed his cards to Paul Phua before sending them to the muck. Salter had revealed for bottom set and both players essentially swapped stacks just before bagging and tagging.
