Colman Hates All Ins; Doubles Seidel

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Dan Colman open-shoved from the small blind and Erik Seidel double-checked his cards several times. "It's gonna be a close one," he mentioned and ultimately called.

Erik Seidel: {K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Dan Colman: {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

The {J-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop improved Colman to a pair of jacks, but Seidel regained the lead with the {K-Spades} turn. Colman shook his head, and then said "I hate all ins" as soon as the blank {2-Clubs} river completed the board. Seidel doubled for 520,000, taking half of Colman's stack.

Back to the Drawing Board for Kempe

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Without showdown, Erik Seidel almost doubled his short stack while Rainer Kempe was reduced to 10 big blinds again after a confrontation with Dan Colman before doubling up right after.

Kempe limped the small blind and Colman checked. On the {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop, Kempe bet 40,000 and Colman called before the {3-Hearts} appeared on the turn. Kempe bet 70,000, Colman raised to 150,000 and Kempe called. The {3-Spades} river paired the board twice and Kempe made it 190,000 to go, Colman called and didn't have to show his cards to claim the pot as Kempe mucked.

Kempe then three-bet jammed the big blind for 290,000 with {7-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Colman quickly called with {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. The board came {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Spades} and Kempe flopped a set and rivered a flush to keep the hopes of the 6-Max title alive.

Kempe Doubles Through Seidel

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Rainer Kempe open-raised to 205,000 on the button and both opponents folded. Dan Colman joked "that is the perfect raise size," and Kempe shot back with a grin and "that is what a three-nine would do."

Right after, Erik Seidel open-shoved from the small blind and Kempe double-checked his cards in the big blind before calling.

Rainer Kempe: {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Erik Seidel: {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Kempe dodged the straight draw on the turn to double for 430,000. "Nut flush?!" Seidel added and Kempe glanced back at the board. "Oh, I didn't even see that," Kempe replied and moved back into the big stack while Seidel was left with 10 big blinds.

Bluff or No Bluff?

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Dan Colman raised to 70,000 on the button and Rainer Kempe called in the big blind. The flop fell {8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and the duo checked. On the {10-Spades} turn, Kempe made it 65,000 to go and Colman called before Kempe then shoved the {4-Hearts} river.

Colman wasn't happy and eventually folded, then said "show the bluff" to Kempe. His wish wasn't granted, as Kempe just shook his head, replied "no bluff" and mucked his cards.

Kempe Even Shorter at End of Level 22

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

In the last hand of the level, Rainer Kempe limped in from the small blind and Dan Colman raised to 100,000, Kempe called. The duo checked the {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop and the {8-Hearts} turn. On the {10-Clubs} river, Kempe checked and Colman bet 205,000.

After two minutes in the think tank, Kempe announced the call with an almost quiet voice and was then shown {9-Hearts}{3-Clubs} by Colman, who turned bottom pair on the flop into a straight.

The players headed into the next 10-minute break after, and the T-1,000 chips will be raced off during that time as well.

Kempe Suddenly Shortest Stack

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

On a heads-up flop of {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}, Dan Colman bet the small blind and Erik Seidel called in the big blind. The {4-Spades} turn went check, check, and Colman then bet the {5-Clubs} river for 45,000. Seidel called and Colman claimed the pot with {J-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for a straight.

One hand later, Colman raised to 50,000 on the button and Rainer Kempe defended the big blind. On the {Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop both checked. Kempe bet the {5-Hearts} turn for 49,000 and Colman called before the {9-Hearts} river was checked through. Kempe showed {10-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a busted gutshot, and Colman took it down with {A-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}.

Kempe raised and called a three-bet to 100,000 by Colman the very next hand before check-folding a flop of {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

Colman himself lost a pot to Seidel's {9-Clubs}{4-Clubs} after the latter flopped bottom pair and a flush draw, got there on the river.

Fast forward a few moments and Seidel raised to 60,000 in the small blind. Kempe three-bet to 160,000 and folded to the shove of Seidel.

Kempe Back to a Million

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Rainer Kempe raised to 51,000 from the button and Erik Seidel moved all in for 375,000 in the big blind, Kempe asked for a count but ultimately folded.

Then, Dan Colman made it 50,000 to go on the button and Kempe came along in the big blind. On the {Q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop, Kempe check-called a bet worth 38,000 before leading the {6-Clubs} turn with a bet of 72,000. Colman gave it only brief consideration and folded.

Seidel shoved from the button the next hand and neither Kempe nor Colman were interested.

Kempe and Colman Doing Some Work

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

On the flop of {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, Rainer Kempe checked in the big blind and Dan Colman bet 40,000 on the button, which Kempe called. The {K-Clubs} appeared on the turn and Kempe check-folded to a bet of 140,000 by Colman.

Two hands later, Kempe raised to 54,000 on the button and Seidel called in the big blind, announced a check in the dark. The flop fell {7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Kempe made it 48,000 to go. Seidel called, but got out of the way on the {K-Diamonds} turn when Kempe fired a second bet of 113,000.

Kempe's raise to 62,000 from the small blind was met by an all in of Colman and that got a quick fold by Kempe.

Seidel was also all in with the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} from the small blind, and Kempe called with the identical hand of {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}. There was no sweat on the board {J-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and the pot was chopped.
