Elimination of Chris Smith Brings About Three-Table Redraw

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Chris Smith
Chris Smith

After Alex Greenblatt raised the button and DJ Buckley three-bet from the small blind, Chris Smith got his stack of around 350,000 all in from the big. Greenblatt folded but Buckley called.

DJ Buckley: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Chris Smith: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}

Buckley had the better ace and the kicker made the difference after the board ran out {6-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{4-Spades}. Smith took his leave in 25th place for $4,318.

The final 24 players will now redraw down to three tables. Additionally, the tournament now switches to a traditional ante format.

Stay tuned for updated chip counts and the new seat draw.

Trung Lee Straightens Out David Toscano

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

David Toscano opened with a raise to 40,000 from the hijack and Trung Le three-bet to 175,000 next to act in the cutoff. Action folded back to Toscasno, who popped it back getting all in for roughly 350,000. Le had him at risk and flipping.

David Toscano: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Trung Le: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

The {8-Spades}{j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop gave Toscano the lead, but the running {10-Hearts} turn and {9-Hearts} river were gin for Le, who hit a runner-runner straight. Just like that Toscano was on the rail in 27th place for $4,318.

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Georgana Trumbell
Georgana Trumbell

Shortly before the break, Georgana Trumbell limped under the gun and Andrew Moreno raisedto 50,000 next to act. Action folded back to Trumbell and she called to see a {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-} flop.

Trumbell moved all in for her last 100,000 or so and Moreno called.

Georgana Trumbell: {4-Clubs}{4-}
Andrew Moreno: {9-}{9-}

The {6-Clubs} turn gave Trumbell a club flush draw, but she missed when an offsuit {3-} completed the board on the river. Trumbell finished in 28th place for $4,318.

Jesse Jones Picks Off Greg Raymer

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Jesse Jones
Jesse Jones

Jesse Jones raised the button to 30,000 and 2004 WSOP champ Greg Raymer three-bet to 85,000 from the small blind. Jones called and the flop came down {6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

Raymer continued with a bet, Jones called, and the {9-Clubs} appeared on the turn. Raymer moved all in for approximately 360,000. Jones made the call and the hands were turned up.

Greg Raymer: {a-}{q-}
Jesse Jones: {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Jones had picked off Raymer's bluff and wound up collecting the latter's trademark signed fossil after the {7-Spades} completed the board on the river.

For his part, Raymer finished in 30th place for $4,318.

Big Slick Does the Trick for Nathaniel Garmo

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Nathaniel Garmo
Nathaniel Garmo

Georgana Trumbell moved all in from middle position and action folded to Nathaniel Garmo, who called off for 137,000 from the big blind.

Nathaniel Garmo: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Georgana Trumbell: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop gave Trumbell top set, but it also gave Garmo a diamond flush draw. The {k-Clubs} turn was of no consequence, but the {5-Diamonds} river was as Garmo made his flush to stay alive.
