Dreams Can Come True, It Can Happen To You

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Andreas Wagner
Andreas Wagner

Richard Bai was absolutely running away with this thing until Andreas Wagner went runner-runner to double through him and take the lead moments ago.

The hand began with a 190,000 open from Wagner. Bai three-bet to 450,000 and Wagner flat called. The flop came down {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Wagner shipped it in.

Bai snapped him off with {q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and Wagner looked to be the next out holding {K-Clubs}{j-Clubs} until the {a-Clubs} turn and {8-Clubs} river gave him a miracle flush.

The Bai Beat Down

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Richard Bai continues to pummel everyone in his path here at the final table.

In this latest bout he put the hurt on Daniel Goepel starting with a 185,000 open that Goepel called, defending his big blind. The flop came {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and after a Goepel check, Bai made it 150,000. Goepel check-raised to 400,000, but could not shake Bai.

The turn brought the {4-Spades} and after Goepel checked again, Bai bet 400,000. Goepel called again before check-folding to a 650,000-chip bet on the {7-Spades} river, allowing Bai's steamroll to continue.

Goepel's Gift

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Daniel Goepel was just given a gift double up by Matthew Vaughan. The hand began with Goepel making it 255,000.

Vaughan then made it 450,000 from the big blind and Goepel shoved for about the same amount more. Priced in, Vaughan made the call with {a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and was well behind Goepel's {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}.

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades} and Goepel now has twice as many chips.

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Richard Bai
Richard Bai

Richard Bai joined Daniel Goepel in calling a 150,000-chip open from Leon Morford.

All three players checked the {7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop, but when the {9-Spades} turn came down the fireworks started. Bai bet 185,000, Morford made it 250,000 more and after Goepel threw his hand away, Bai fired back, making it 710,000 total.

Morford folded, handing Bai the sizable pot without showdown.

Alan Wehbi open shoved under the gun and Martin Corn went all in behind him for more before Andreas Wagner went all in having them both covered.

Wagner: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Corn: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Wehbi: {K-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

Wagner's kings held on a {9-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs} board to eliminate both players.

Greg Koutelidakis - 10th.

Jason Mirza made it 140,000, Daniel Goepel three-bet to 300,000 and Greg Koutelidakis shipped it in for around 740,000.

Mirza mucked, but Goepel made the easy call with {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. Koutelidakis had {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} and hit the rail after the {5-Spades}{j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{7-Clubs} board was revealed.
