Santiago Vila Doubles Through Jason Smith

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Jason Smith raised to 720,000 and Santiago Villa called, putting himself at risk. Villa had {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Smith had {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}. The board ran out {5-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{j-Clubs}, giving Smith a little bit of a sweat with a flush draw going into the river, but it was not to be and Vila doubled up.

Adam Lamphere is Eliminated in 8th place ($15,411)

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Adam Lamphere was eliminated in 8th place. Bill Rogers, who 10 hands ago was left with 190,000, raised to 140,000. Adam Lamphere reraised all in for 220,000 more. Rogers called.

Lamphere had {a-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Rogers had {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. The board ran out {2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, leaving an open ended straight draw for both players. If either of them paired their non-ace the other would make a straight. The river was the {5-Hearts}, giving Rogers a nine-high straight and eliminating Lamphere.

Tongen Zhang Eliminated in 9th place ($10,815)

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

One hand after a three way all in where one player tripled up and another was eliminated, the same thing happened again. When the action folded to Tongen Zhang, he shoved all in for 770,000. Bill Rogers, who was left short after losing the three way all in with aces, called to go all in as well. Mike Ermie also called.

Ermie held {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, Rogers {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}, and Zhang {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. The board ran out {2-Spades}{q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and this time Rogers tripled up. Zhang was eliminated as Ermie collected the 500,000 side pot.

Doug Bowersock Eliminated in 10th place ($7,029)

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Doug Bowersock was eliminated in 10th place. On the hand, Michael Ferrarotti raised all in from under the gun. Bowersock called, putting himself at risk and Bill Rogers shoved all in as well.

Ferrarotti held {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, Bowersock {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}, and Rogers was in the lead with {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}. The {7-Clubs} on the flop of {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} make Ferrarotti clap his hands. The turn, {10-Clubs}, and the river, {8-Spades}, didn't change anything and Ferrarotti would triple up. Bowersock was eliminated and Rogers was left with three big blinds.

Chip Correction

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

It appears there was a miscount of Doug Bowersock's chips. He returned from break and had 745,000 sitting in front of him. It was determined, after adding up all the chips in play, that there were 200,000 extra chips that were added to someones chip count. Bowersock's count has been corrected to 745,000.
