Stone Accidentally Ships to Massey

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

After a call for the floor, we checked in on Ralph Massey's table, and apparently Nik Stone had opened for a raise and been three-bet to 27,500 by Massey. Stone tried to call the raise, but accidentally put out a few too many chips. Stone had put out more than half of another bet and was forced to min-raise. Massey shoved all in for 190,500, and Stone thought about it for a couple of minutes before letting his hand go.

Players are on a 10-minute break.

Illingworth Fighting With Short Stack

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Joe Illingworth has taken his early slump in stride and continues to fight the good fight with a short stack. He doubled up after jamming 17,500 in late position recently with {a-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and was called by Steve Vang's {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts} in the big blind. The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{a-Spades}{7-Spades}, giving Illingworth the pot with trips.

"Still alive," Illingworth said. "That's all that matters."

"Us Old Guys Forget S*** Sometimes"

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Phil Mader
Phil Mader

Jeremy Dresch opened for 9,500 in middle position and saw Phil Mader three-bet to 27,500. Dresch asked Mader to verify his stacks and then shoved all in. Mader took a final peak at his hole cards and softly announced a call.

Dresch: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Mader: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

A {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{k-Spades} flop meant Dresch was nearly dead, and the {q-Diamonds} ended things on the turn. Dresch chided Mader for his double-check.

"You have to insta-call with kings," he said. "You take more than two seconds, I don't think you have kings."

"I have to look again," Mader said with a smile. "Us old guys forget s*** sometimes."

Stone Doubles Through DeSilva

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Nik Stone
Nik Stone

We found Nik Stone all in for 95,000 preflop, having shoved over an open of 9,500 from a player in early position. On the button, Sam DeSilva moved all in over that, folding out the raiser and everyone else.

Stone: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
DeSilva: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Stone had a foot in the grave after {4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} hit the board, but an {a-Spades} river saved him.
