Ross Doubles

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Mike Ross
Mike Ross

Mike Ross got all in from the button with {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, but unfortunately for him, the big blind woke up with {a-}{k-}. Ross saw a nice flop when {6-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Hearts} hit the board, and the {10-Clubs} turn was even nicer as it gave him a straight.

Players are on break for 10 minutes.

Boudreau, Kirby Score Eliminations

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Will Givens
Will Givens

A player at Kevin Boudreau's table opened for a raise in early position and then called off for about 70,000 when Boudreau put him all in with {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} in the big blind. The opener had {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}, and things looked rosy when a {5-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} flopped. Runner-runner {k-Spades}{10-Clubs} for a straight gave Boudreau the pot, though.

"Kid's on fire," someone said, as Boudreau smiled at the run out.

At the neighboring table, three players got all in after a {9-Hearts}{10-Spades}{j-Hearts} flop, with Matt Kirby easily covering both opponents.

Kirby: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Will Givens: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Third player: {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

When the board paired on the {j-Diamonds} turn, Kirby took a big lead, leaving the player who flopped the straight dead. An {a-Spades} river meant Kirby scored two knockouts with his full house.

Boudreau With the KO

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Kevin "Phwap" Boudreau
Kevin "Phwap" Boudreau

Kevin "Phwap" Boudreau just knocked out a player on a board of {7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{8-Spades}{j-Spades}{q-Clubs} with {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. The chips were already being shipped to him when we got to the table, so his opponent's hand was already in the muck.

Luong Doubles Through Bohn

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

According to Will Givens, Phillip Luong opened in the cutoff and saw Blake Bohn three-bet the button. Luong reraised, and the two got it in preflop with Luong holding {k-}{k-} against Bohn's {3-}{3-}. Luong held for the double.

"Bad read," Bohn simply said via Twitter.

Kirby Busts Greenblatt

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Alex Greenblatt
Alex Greenblatt

Blake Bohn and Matt Kirby checked from middle position and saw Alex Greenblatt bet 13,000 on a {5-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop from the hijack. Both tour-sponsored pros called, bringing a {j-Clubs} on the turn. Bohn checked again, but Kirby fired out 32,000. Greenblatt called, and Bohn left the two heads up. An {a-Clubs} paired the board, and Kirby announced all in. Greenblatt didn't seem pleased, but he called off for what looked like about 115,000, slightly less than Kirby's stack.

Kirby showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for aces full, and Greenblatt flashed {a-}{q-} before mucking and getting up.

Bohn Busts Eyster

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Blake Bohn
Blake Bohn

Blake Bohn opened for 10,000 in the cutoff and saw the player on the button jam for about 40,000. Kevin "1sickdisease" Eyster jammed over that for about 160,000 total, and Bohn called immediately.

Bohn: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Eyster: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Button: {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

A grim flop for Bohn arrived: {j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, giving Eyster a flush draw and the player on the button a pair. The {6-Spades} turn meant Bohn was drawing very slim for the smaller main pot, but he was able to bust Eyster and take the larger side pot when a {2-Spades} completed the board. It's a result he's surely happy with since it also eliminated a dangerous opponent.
