Flink Chops to Stay Alive

Level 12 : 0/0, 15,000 ante

Robert Flink shoved for 975,000 from early position and it folded round to Tony G who snap-called on the button.

Robert Flink: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Tony G: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The flop {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} gave Flink additional gutshot outs. The turn was the {7-Diamonds} reducing his outs, with Tony G holding a diamond.

The river was the {6-Spades} giving both players a straight and they chopped the pot.

Jiang vs Phua

Level 12 : 0/0, 15,000 ante

Santi Jiang {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} limped and Paul Phua {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} raised to 150,000. Jiang called.

Jiang check-called 160,000 on the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop and the turn was the {a-Spades}. Jiang checked and Phua bet 350,000. Jiang called again.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Jiang checked once more. With 1.4 million in the middle, Phua checked behind and Jiang took down the pot with

Paul Phuamoved all in for 1.1 million chips first to act, and Danny Tang asked for a count before eventually moving all in over the top. The other players all folded.

Paul Phua: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Danny Tang: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

There was a queen in the window of the {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop but a king as well, as Phua stayed ahead. The turn was the {k-Hearts} and the river {6-Hearts} and Phua doubled up.

Tang Takes Down Another

Level 12 : 0/0, 15,000 ante

Danny Tang added more chips to his stack a few moments ago.

There was no raise preflop, with Santi limping with {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}, Paul Phua calling with {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, Tang calling with {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, and Tony G wanting to see a flop with his {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.

The flop fell {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{q-Clubs} and everyone checked in turn. The turn brought the {9-Hearts} into play, and the action folded to Tang, who tested the waters with a 75,000 bet. The bet was enough to fold out his opponents, and Tang added more chips to his tournament-leading stack.

Tang Extends His Lead

Level 12 : 0/0, 15,000 ante

Danny Tang extended his lead at the top of the chip counts in another multiway pot.

Tang called for 30,000 with {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and Robert Flink came along for the ride with {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, Paul Phua called with {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, and Chris Brewer tossed in calling chips with {q-Spades}{9-Spades}.

A draw-heavy {10-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop saw Tang lead for 65,000, and only Brewer called. The {a-Hearts} turn was greeted with a 150,000 bet from Tang, which Brewer was not prepared to play.

Level 12 : 0/0, 15,000 ante

First blood to Paul Phua as his shove gets through.

Danny Tang limped with {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, Tony G called with {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, Robert Flink came along for the ride with {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, only for Phua to shove all-in for 870,000. Each of Phua's opponents folded in turn, and Phua improved his stack to 990,000.
