Day 1c Concludes With Two Quick Eliminations
Level 14
: Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Tony van Eeden ran with pocket tens into the pocket kings of Menesh Keshav and that brought the field down to the last 25 hopefuls. One more elimination was required to end Day 1c and it would follow moments later on the other outer table.
Kinesh Pather raised to 12,000 and Sugen Singh in the small blind three-bet to 38,000. Lagen Zackey then four-bet jammed for the last 99,000 in the big blind and Pather asked for a count. He then folded while Singh reluctantly called.
Lagen Zackey: A?K?
Sugen Singh: A?Q?
The dominated ace paired up on the Q?J?7? flop, then stayed ahead on the 4? turn and 9? river to eliminate Zackey one spot away from making Day 2.
