The first of three starting flights in Event #7: $1,000 Main Event is slated to begin at 3 p.m. at the Seneca Niagara Casino & Resort.

There will be a $200,000 guarantee for the tournament, along with the eventual Fall Poker Classic Champion landing on the cover of CardPlayer Magazine.

Last years Fall Poker Classic Main Event drew 271 entries over two starting flights, generating a $239,212 prize pool and smashing the initial guarantee.

It was Buffalo native Guy Klass who took down the title for an impressive $58,608. The heavy-duty truck salesman started the final nine last in chips, quickly he found a triple up and didn't look back as he sat alone by tournaments end atop the payout sheet.

Klass bested Mark Roberts in a heads up match that was ultimately decided on the river, when Klass hit a higher two pair, taking down the tournament and sending Roberts out in second for a respectable $36,839 pay day.

Players will start with 30,000 tournament chips and the blinds will increase after every 40 minutes of play. Registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 11 with each Day 1 flight playing 15 levels or until the field is reduced to 12%. Players may play in all of the flights but only their largest stack will carry over into Day 2.
