Say It Ain't So

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Joe Malec
Joe Malec

We say goodbye now to Joe Malec, who ran good early and ran into Jay Clark late.

Clark raised the rags, flopped the straight and had only to call when Malec hit top pair and ripped the turn.

Just 12 remain and the final table looms.

Pachla Holds!

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Alicia LaPorte Pachla
Alicia LaPorte Pachla

Alicia LaPorte Pachla just made a massive call when one opponent shoved for 21,000 in front of her on a ten-high flop with two clubs.

She had a ten and it was better than his nines. Another ten on the turn almost locked it up and after the river bricked, Pachla moved into the top spot on the leader board with just 14 players remaining.

After winning Event #2 last night, she's looking primed to go back-to-back.

John Geso
John Geso

John Geso got it all in with the {10-Spades}{2-Spades} just a few hands ago and four players called. He flopped a pair and a flush draw and after Jay Clark pushed everybody else off the hand betting on his two kings, Geso hit the flush on the turn.

Just a few hands later Geso was all in on the river for 16,000 in a heads-up pot on a {3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} board with 35,000 in the middle.

He got a fold and is suddenly sitting with 50,000 chips in his stack

Patty Fitzgerald

Tonowanda, NY's Patty Fitzgerald didn't have enough chips for the big blind ten minutes ago.

Now she's got 35,000 and counting after going on a major heater that included busting one player moments ago who shoved jack-high.

Fitzgerald looked him up with nines and held.
