The Kurtis Boutelle Comeback
Kurtis Boutelle is writing quite a comeback story here in the Main Event.
Down to 3,700 in the first few levels after flopping a flush and losing to a runner-runner full house, the 2015 Seneca Fall Poker Classic Main Event champ and 2016 Summer Slam $1,000 Deep Stack High Roller winner, now has a six-figure stack, and the chip lead, nearing the end of Level 5.
The hand that saw him rise to the top started with four players going to a flop, but the action really heated up when the turned and all four decided to get it all in. Two players had for the straight, a third had a spade flush draw, and Boutelle had them all nutted, holding for the full house.
The flush even came on the river, but it was too little, too late. Boutelle dragged the six-figure pot and moved into the lead.
