Billiteri Slows Down, Nablo Leads

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Jason Nablo
Jason Nablo

Julie Billiteri called a 100,000-chip shove with the {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} dominating her opponent's {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}.

However, the board rolled out {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{8-Spades} costing Billiteri a good chunk of change.

In the meantime, the Jason Nablo train keeps rolling down the track, and he's moved into the lead on over 800,000 now.

Bang Bang Fires Again

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Julie Billiteri
Julie Billiteri

The button raised to 40,000 and Julie Billiteri and John Stempien called in the blinds.

Billiteri fired away, making it 80,000 on a {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop and picked up the pot, winning another 80,000-plus to put her on 900,000 and counting.

With 55 players remaining, the bubble is right around the corner and Billiteri looks poised to crush it.

Bang Bang Billiteri Guns Down Elia

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Julie Billiteri
Julie Billiteri

Start-of-day chip leader Joseph Elia is out and spicy satellite qualifier Julie Billiteri now has a massive lead heading into the first break of the day.

Elia raised it up to 12,000 and Billiteri three-bet, making it 35,000. Elia called and then checked a {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop. Billiteri made it 65,000, Elia raised to 145,000 and Billiteri called.

Elia open-jammed another 100,000 or so on the {j-Hearts} turn and it was Billiteri's gin card. She called with {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for top set, but didn't even need it.

Elia was on the {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and behind the whole way. The river was the inconsequential {3-Diamonds} and as Elia said goodbye, Billiteri spent the next ten minutes counting her 790,000-chip stack.

Chris Meyers found two aces in the big blind again.

This time there was a player in front shoving all in for heaps with {a-}{q-}. Aces held and Meyers is now on top of the leaderboard and closing in on 600,000 with the money bubble fast approaching.

Tieu Destroying Dreams

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Michael Tieu
Michael Tieu

Michael Tieu got in a battle of the blinds with Nathan Russi that eventually saw Russi get it in and at risk for 150,000-plus with the {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

Tieu had the {a-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Russi looked good to double, even through the {2-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop. The {a-Hearts} on the turn was all Tieu, though, and he destroyed Russi after a {9-Hearts} river did not improve him.

Nablo On The Run

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Jason Nablo
Jason Nablo

Jason Nablo says he got owned in a battle of the blinds with the player on his right.

But the very next hand he picked up kings against that players jacks and they got it in preflop after a series of raises. Nablo's kings held and he's now in a dead heat with Julie Billiteri for the lead.
