Another 30 Through; Mike Davis Leads This Group
The fifth of six starting flights for this third event on the 2015 Seneca Fall Poker Classic schedule drew 130 entries at the Niagara Falls Poker Room inside the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino tonight.
From there, just 30 made it through to the final day of the $50,000 Guaranteed $100 No-Limit Hold'em event set for Thursday, joining the 57 already through from the first three flights.
With 433 entries so far, the event isn't exactly on pace to meet the guarantee, but a big number in the final flight set for 6 p.m. tonight should do the trick. They need just 192 to get there.
Mike Rellinger picked up aces an amazing five times to start the day and rush out over 100,000. In the end, he bagged a little over 130,000. Seneca Killer Silvio DeRubeis and local rounder Bob Keihl also got up to six figures as the day rolled on, but it was Event #1 overall chip leader Michal Davis bagging the lead after hitting every card he needed over the last level, bagging 137,800.
Pat Tighe and his 238,300-chip stack are still in the overall lead heading into Day 2 with just one flight to come.
With five flights over and done with now, the final one will go off tonight at 6 p.m. local time.
Tune in then as PokerNews will be on hand to capture all the action from start to finish.
