Tim Kelly cracked aces a short while ago but wasn't able to put those chips to much use. We walked up to see Joe Ciffa raise to 9,000 from early position. Action folded over to Kelly in the blinds and he moved all in. Ciffa called off for 42,500 total.

The board ran out , giving Ciffa a rivered straight and crippling Kelly. Kelly was eliminated on the next hand,
We didn't see it go down, but Tim Kelly told us he cracked a player's pocket aces with after Kelly shoved for nine big blinds preflop. Apparently Kelly saw it coming — he says he offered an apology to his opponent even before the board ran out.
Kelly is up to 52,000 on his second bullet of the day.
Leo Kaplin opened to 5,500 from early position and Chris Drake shoved for 26,000 from middle position, Action folded over to Jason Nablo in the small blind, and he moved all in for more than 60,000. Kaplin sighed, thought for a moment, and called all in for just under 30,000 total.

Nablo:
Kaplin:
Nablo's pair was in front and he improved further on the flop. Kaplin picked up outs to a straight, but the turn and river improved Nablo to a full house, effectively eliminating the other two players.
The field has been trimmed from 144 to 40 in exactly seven hours (including dinner break). We're 25 spots away from the money, where the minimum payout will be $395.
We've completed 11 levels and the players are now on their dinner break. As it stands right now, Mitch Polanski is the leader going into the break with 41 players remaining, but the dangerous Randy Pfeifer isn't far behind. We'll be back in 45 minutes!
We've lost nearly two-thirds of the field already in Event #1. Echoes of "all-in" are circulating the poker room as many players are finding themselves shorter and shorter with every blind increase — and they're climbing quickly. Each player started with 15,000 chips, which would equal about 12 big blinds at this point of the tournament. Several players have two options before the flop right now — shove or fold.
