Rick Block Doubles Huge Through Chris Myers
Level 17
: 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
The board read and with somewhere around 70,000 already in the middle, Chris Myers fired out a bet of 18,000. Rick Block responded by moving all in for 219,500 total which sent Myers deep into the tank.
Several minutes passed while Myers contemplated his action. Eventually, he grabbed a tower of chips and pushed it forward, signifying a call.
Block tabled for a Broadway straight which was crushing Myers' for top pair and an open-ended straight draw.
"Deuce!" shouted Block as the dealer burned for the river card. It was not a deuce on the river, but rather a with the same significance. Block's straight secured him a double up to around 525,000 while Myers fell to about 115,000.
