Another familiar face added their impressive poker resume, with Juan "Malaka$tyle" Pardo topping the 116-entry field in SCOOP 90-H: $5,200 NLHE [Super Tuesday High Roller]. Along with the $127,128 up top, the biggest prize awarded yesterday, the Spanish maestro secured their sixth SCOOP title after overcoming a star-studded final table.
On the FT, Pedro "pvigar" Garagnani and Pedro "PadiLhA SP" Padilha bowed out in ninth and eighth place, ahead of "drew.derzh" who departed in seventh.
Patrick "pads1161" Leonard banked some more points for Team Lex in the inaugural SCOOP League with his sixth-place finish. It's been a great few weeks for Leonard, who won his eighth title earlier on in the series. Additionally, the Brit is smashing the SCOOP Leaderboards, currently leading the High Leaderboard and sitting in third place Overall. Should Leonard top both tables, he'll be treated to an extra $40,000 in prizes come the end of the series.
The elimination of veteran grinders "Gogac sniper" and "Natrium111" set up three-handed play, where Pardo's compatriot, Vicente "vicenfish" Delgado, exited in third.
Pardo last defeated Canada's "Notmystyle" in heads-up, with the latter collecting the $98,497 silver medal prize.
