SCOOP-92-H Final Table Results

After a tumultuous evening, the three players who came into the final table as the top three also finished as the top three at the end of it all after agreeing to a three-way deal in the 2021 PokerStars SCOOP-92-H: $10,300 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event].

"kZhh" held the chip lead at the start of the day and finished at the top when the dust had settled. They walked away $878,781 richer as they claimed the $50,000 that was set aside for the winner.

But it was Day 2 chip leader Dan "Dannyz0r" Borlan who would claim the biggest score of the 2021 Spring Championship of Online Poker festival with $894,551. The third beneficiary of the deal was Kayhan "KayhanMok" Roshanfekr who logged off with $791,074 added to his bankroll.

This is the first SCOOP title for "kZhh" who is no stranger to success on the PokerStars tables. They won a TCOOP event in 2017 and a Sunday Million for example. The Hungarian can always be found in the top of the tournament lobbies during and after the events and is known for their deep runs.

The other players on the final table included "Beowulf3182", David "MissOracle" Yan, Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph, Ka Kwan "kaju85" Lau, Jareth "jareth3542" East, and "23tudy23".

Final Table Action

With an average of 74 big blinds at the start, the players were in for a long ride and it was "23tudy23" who came into the final table with the shortest stack. They would also be first to go after almost 30 minutes when they called the three-bet shove of Lau with pocket jacks. Lau's ace-queen found another queen on the turn to get the tournament down to eight. "Beowulf3182" then doubled through "kZhh" for the latter to lose the chip lead which would go back and forth between many players throughout the night.

East went out next when he five-bet jammed with ace-king and got looked up by Borlan who held the aces to send the Brit to the rail. Lau won the $10,300 PLO [8-max, High Roller] last night for $263,099 but couldn't write history by making it two in a year when he bluffed his stack away on the river with king-ten on the five-jack-six-seven-queen board. "kZhh" held pocket jacks for the set to burst that dream. Rudolph busted in the next hand when he ran his ace-king into the kings of "Beowulf3182".

Christian Rudolph
Christian Rudolph finished in sixth place for $238,074

Five-handed play lasted almost two hours with Yan pulling the short end of the stick when he bricked his flopped flush draw and turned gutshot to a straight. Fifteen minutes later, "Beowulf3182" was left short when they doubled Borlan up to then lose the rest of their stack to Roshanfekr who held with the higher kicker. Borlan held the chip lead at that point and held on for about 15 minutes before the three players decided to look at the numbers. They quickly agreed to things and play resumed with $50,000 left to play for.

In 90 minutes of the chips flying around, "kZhh" was the one who would reclaim the chip lead by putting pressure on the two other players. Ultimately, Borlan doubled through Roshanfekr with pocket nines to leave the latter short who then lost the remainder to the Romanian too. Roshanfekr's aces got cracked by the king-ten of Borlan to flopped trips to get the tournament to heads-up.

"kZhh" showed their strength and put the burden on Borlan. When all was said and done, Borlan's turned pair of fives were deemed good enough for him to call the shove of "kZhh" who held kings for the overpair. No five on the river meant the end of the tournament to see a brand-new SCOOP Main Event Champion in the history books.

Huge congrats to "kZhh" from the PokerNews live reporting team as this concludes the coverage for this event.
