Before the First Break
At 1 p.m. EST, 138 players returned, all aware that they had secured at least $1,865, but all having their sights set on more. "Rebozeio" was off to a great start as they immediately eliminated "nic81411" and "Cantaloupe91" in a three-way all-in situation. "Rebozeio" rivered a straight to claim two more bounties. From there on, the eliminations kept flying in. Players like Job "DeadNylan" Greben, Joris "BillLewinsky" Ruijs, and Christian "chry1982" Sare all busted quite soon after the day started.
Brazilian soccer super star Neymar Jr. "neymar-jr"four-bet shoved with pocket nines and was looked up by "tmk999" who held the rockets and found another ace on the flop to send Neymar Jr. back to the dressing room. Reino "arron8" Unido was one of the first victims of "AtanasPPP" of the day when he got his last 23 big blinds in with ace-queen. "AtanasPPP" held jacks and held. "b@d0s" also took out a familiar name at the start of the day, Alexandru "steakaddict." Papazian fell to them when he got it all in with queens. "b@d0s" held ace-king and flopped the higher pair to send the Romanian player on his way.
"b@d0s" also took out a familiar name at the start of the day, Alexandru "steakaddict." Papazian fell to them when he got it all in with queens. "b@d0s" held ace-king and flopped the higher pair to send the Romanian player on his way. Fabio "LFFF22" Freitas won the $530 Main Event 2nd Chance less than a week ago for $348,643 but couldn't add another SCOOP title to his achievements as he jammed with deuces but was looked up by Ramon "ZéDoBlefe11" Sorgatto who held ace-queen and made trips on the river.
Big Names Fall
More notables fell by the wayside after the first break, Darrell "FourSixFour" Goh started the day second in the counts but couldn't make anything work today. This was a similar case for players like Julien "KroolhearT-1803" Martini, Ignat "0Human0" Liviu, Nicolas "niccc" Chouity, Gary "quiditbear" Hasson, Pedro "PaDiLhA SP" Padilha, Diogo "phounderAA" Veiga, Ezequiel "eze88888" Waigel, Joni "bustoville" Jouhkimainen, and Damian "pampa27" Salas all busted in the second hour of play.
Miguel "??toneecho??" Seoane, David "davaman" Lopez, Daniil "Dancer King" Kiselev, Diego "Die Ventura" Ventura, Aliaksei "ale6ka" Boika, and Dimitar "KuuL" Danchev didn't fare much better by the time the third break rolled around. Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" Kanit is one of the most animated players in the live circuit but saw his day end early when he shoved with ace-eight and "pnp23" did the same with jack-ten suited before "rickv17" came along too for the party with ace-ten. "pnp23" rivered a flush to send the friendly Italian and "Rickv17" to the rail.
Race to the Final Table
Max "goodeh99" Silver was eliminated in a double knockout hand too when he got it all in with ten-nine suited while "Hustlaaaaaa" held queens and "quanquandashi" had kings. Marvin "Ron Jovi 7" Rettenmaier busted with ace-king when "AtanasPPP" had aces. Joel "jvieiradias8" Dias had shoved with ace-ten but "b@d0s" had ace-queen and flopped a pair. "WRUUUUM" was halted by Beresford when they picked up pocket fours but the latter had eights.
Andy "wiisssppppaa" Taylor had two pair when he was eliminated by "AtanasPPP" who had rivered a flush. "ksehd8 and "jwall888" busted to get the tournament to the final table bubble but it ended up having to start with eight players instead of nine as "quanquandashi" and "StingsHUH" both busted to Sehnem in the same hand with "quanquandashi" walking away today with the second-biggest bounty of the day of $40,678.
From Eight Players to One Winner
"Rebozeio" got his last 19 big blinds in with ace-queen but "b@d0s" held aces and stayed ahead throughout the runout of the board. Borlan was next to go when he had flopped top pair and jammed on the turn. It was all looking good as he was ahead against the lower flopped pair of "b@d0s" but the river gave his opponent two pair. Twenty minutes later, it was time for "MikiDave" to say goodbye when he shoved with pocket tens. Beresford's jacks got the field down to five players.
It would take more than an hour before the tournament was down to the final four players when Sehnem barreled his whole stack in with ace-queen. Beresford looked him up with ace-king and flopped top pair to make play a bit more short-handed. Ten minutes later, Kalfa was kicked out by Beresford who now held ace-queen. Kalfa's kings were good when the chips went on the queen-five-jack flop but the ace on the turn and no help on the river sent the Greek out in fourth place.
But Beresford couldn't keep hold of his chips as he eventually shoved them in with ace-nine with "b@d0s" holding ace-king and he couldn't find anything to connect with on the board. Heads-up the two players tried to do a deal by clicking the deal button and clicked on the ICM-deal to agree but then found out that they couldn't do a real deal due to the format of the tournament as the bounties needed to be played for.
With over two-thirds of all the chips in play in possession of "b@d0s" and over 200 big blinds in play, heads-up ended up lasting an hour. The stacks got back to even and for a few seconds the chip lead even switched to "AtanasPPP" but in the end, "AtanasPPP" called the shove of "b@d0s" for their last 14 big blinds with ace-six suited. "b@d0s" held ace-deuce so "AtanasPPP" was ahead until the deuce fell on the river to end their tournament life to send them packing with $166,881 in prize money and bounties.
