"Indiveri Beginning"
"Excuse me, sir," we ask, "Can I get your name?"
"Jim Indiveri," he answers.
"And how do you spell that?"
"I-n-d-i-v-e-r-i. Like, 'In de very beginning.'"
And that, in a nutshell, is Jim Indiveri's sense of humor. An orthodontist with nearly 30 years of practice, Indiveri is a medical professional by day and a poker enthusiast in his spare time.
A regular at RGPS stops from Tulsa to Council Bluffs and everywhere in between, Indiveri's best finish was sixth place in the RGPS Main Event at Downstream Casino in April 2018 for $4,726. He's also a member of the Hinkles' home game, nicknamed Monday Night Poker.
Indiveri's flight A has been a slow grind that has seen his stack basically trend even through five hours of action. Now in Level 11, he found himself with 20,200 in a favorable spot for a shove.
Paul Strohm limped from under-the-gun, the button called and Indiveri moved all-in. The big blind quickly folded. Strohm asked for a count and then went into the tank, but ultimately decided to fold. Darin Miller decided to send his cards into the muck as well to give the pot to Indiveri.
