With around 5,500 in the middle and a turn board reading 10?2?6?5?, defending RGPS St. Louis Main Event champ Keith Heine put out a bet of 2,500 and was called by his opponent in the big blind.

The river fell the J? and this time Heine bet 4,500 after being checked to and got the quick fold to take it down.

Allen Doubles Through Serrano

Kenny Allen
Kenny Allen

Kenny Allen raised from middle position and was three-bet to 5,000 from Eric Serrano in late position, with Allen coming along.

The two players saw a 7?5?3? flop and Allen check-called a bet of 4,000 from Serrano.

The turn brought the 6? and Allen check-called once more, this time for 8,000.

The A? fell on the river and Serrano snap-jammed all-in after Allen checked, with Allen making the call after a few moments of deliberation.

Allen: A?2? All in
Serrano: Q?J?

Allen missed his straight but was able to catch an ace on the river to take the pot from Serrano and secure the full double-up.

Mendoza Doubles Through Xu; Xu Left With One Big Blind

Jason Mendoza
Jason Mendoza

In a hand recapped to PokerNews by Jason Mendoza, Yang Xu raised to 2,200 from middle position and Mendoza called from the small blind.

The two players saw a Jx9x3x flop and Mendoza check-called a bet of 4,300 from Xu.

The turn came a 7x and Mendoza checked. Xu moved all-in for around 23,000 and after some time in the tank, Mendoza made the call and was at risk.

Mendoza: KxJx All in
Xu: QxJx

Mendoza had Xu pipped on the kicker and would hold through the 4x on the river to secure the double-up.

Mendoza jokingly noted that his wife said he's the highest-ranked GPI player in the field and wanted that mentioned in the hand recap.
