Pierce and Daley Lead; Kopps Near The Top in Day 1b Of RGPS Cleveland Main Event
A total of 202 players came out to play the second day of The RunGood Poker Series Road Trip $1,000 Main Event at Jack Casino in Cleveland, Ohio. This will bring the total number of entrants in the event to 355 and puts the $400,000 guarantee very close to being met. From a starting field of 202, to just 27 survivors at the end of the day, each one of them is guaranteed a minimum cash.
Leading the way is Shane Pierce, who ended their day as the only player to cross the 600,000 chip threshold with 601,000. Last time the RunGood Poker Series landed in Cleveland, Pierce had quite a successful series of cashes. Three cashes, two final tables, and a runner up finish in a PokerGo Studio Ring Event which saw him take home $7,575 for his placement. With the biggest stack of the tournament so far, he looks to add a better podium finish to his RunGood results.

It was a family affair for the Kopps as both siblings William Kopp (404,000) and Katie Kopp (247,000) found bags. The already decorated poker family will be looking to add some RunGood jewelry to add to their bracelets. One of the players in the hunt for the RunGood Player of The Year Race Shaun Emery (356,000) found a healthy bag. Others also found their way to the end of the day like Ian Richardson (315,000) and Blake Napierala (232,000).
Not all found fortunate run outs today as players like Anthony Potis, Jake Bazeley, Michael Lech, Daniel Donk Hughes, and WSOP Main Event champion Greg Raymer were all eliminated from the tournament today. They will have ample opportunity to play tomorrow as entry and re-entry will be open for the first 9 levels.
Play ended with 17:30 left in Level 14 with blinds at 3,000/5,000 and a 5,000 big blind ante in the previous day. Play will return to this level on Sunday, November 12th, barring the final flight ending earlier. Players will return at 12:15 on that day.
