No Luck for Kitagawa's Ladies
Kyle Kitagawa opened to 3,500 from the button and both blinds defended to see a flop of 9?7?8?.
After a check from Daniel Evans in the small blind, the big blind led out for 6,000 but then Kitagawa raised to 16,000. Then Evans decided that wasn't quite enough and he moved all in for around 25,000 total and the big blind hastily folded.
Kitagawa quickly tossed in calling chips and the cards were tabled, with Evans at risk.

Evan had the lead with his flopped two-pair over Kitagawa's queens, but he was still alive with running straight and queen outs. Unfortunately for him, the runout came 9?5? to improve Evans to a full house on the turn and no queen on the river sealed Kitagawa's fate. Evans was then pushed the bug pot for a double up while Kitagawa was left on life support.
