RGPS Tulsa Main Event Champion To Be Crowned Sunday

Day 2 Chip Leader Dakotah O'Dell
Day 2 Chip Leader Dakotah O'Dell

Its been an exciting week of action at the RunGood Series Tulsa Series and it all comes to a head Sunday as the champion of the $600 Main Event will be crowned.

Through three opening flights, 472 entries created a massive prize pool of $245,440, far eclipsing the original $100,000 guarantee.

Star-studded fields have battled to earn their way into Sundays final day of play but only 60 remain with a chance at the $46,721 first prize along with the prestigious RunGood Contenders Series ring and a seat in the RunGood Pro-Am this December in Las Vegas.

If the title could have been won based on a players opening flight, it would be in the hands of Dakotah ODell and his 1,019,000 chips, but bringing a massive chip lead into the final day only earns you the same as everyone else Sunday, a $933 min-cash.

He will be the man to catch though with over 400,000 chips more to start the day than his closest competitor.

Players to Watch

While those may be the players with the biggest stacks to navigate around, there are plenty more talented players left that could make a run to the winners circle including RunGood ambassadors Kris Burchfield (120,000) and Julie Cornelius (94,000), wholl actually be at the same table to start the day. Theyll have some work to do with a couple of the shorter stacks in the room.

Another interesting opening table will see Arkansas all-time tournament money leader Daniel Lowery (411,000) seated with RunGood Tulsa PLO champ Sam Lee (130,000) and Kaleb Dunn (197,000) who finished 3rd at RunGood Council Bluffs earlier this year.

Those are just a few of the stories to watch when cards get in the air at noon local time in the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tulsa poker room.

Play will resume with 11:47 left in level 13, the earliest endpoint for the three opening flights, and will continue through 30-minute levels with a 10-minute break following level 14 and then every four levels after that until a champion is crowned.
