Gilliam Wins With Delayed Continuation-Bet

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante

Tim Gilliam opened the action with a raise to 1,000 from the button and received calls from both players in the blinds. The three saw a flop of {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades} and everybody checked.

The turn came {9-Clubs} and both players in the blinds checked again. Gilliam threw out a bet of 2,200 and got two folds, earning him the pot and bringing him to nearly one-and-a-half starting stacks as the first break of the evening comes into view.

Gilliam resides around one hour outside of Dallas and already made the three-hour journey to Horseshoe Bossier City for the opening event of the series, which took place this past Tuesday. The event was a $135 Pro Bounty event and Gilliam ended up agreeing to a four-way chop with three others, one of which was his brother, Brandon. The four then played out the tournament to declare a tournament winner and GIlliam found himself the last man standing, earning himself a ring in the process.
