Al-Keliddar Applies Pressure

Level 11 : Blinds 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

A player opened to 5,000 from late position and was called by Yaser Al-Keliddar in the big blind.

Al-Keliddar checked to the preflop aggressor on a flop of {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades} and he continued for 6,000, a bet that Al-Keliddar called.

The {10-Spades} turn saw Al-Keliddar check for a second time and then, after his opponent fired off a bet of 11,000, ask how much the late position player had behind. After hearing it was around 35,000 he made the call to see a river.

The river came {7-Clubs} to put a four liner to a straight as well as three clubs on the board. Al-Keliddar decided to take over the betting lead at this point, asking 26,000 of his opponent. The late position player, who appeared to be the victim of an unfortunate turn and river runout, folded with a certain amount of exasperation to send a sizable pot over to Al-Keliddar.
