Day 2 Completed
After almost five hours, "luelue399" has won the PokerStars WCOOP-63-H: $2,100 NLHE [8-Max, Progressive KO, Freezeout, Thursday Thrill SE] for a combined total of $171,300 after taking both Luigi "Il-Giuglia" D'Alterio and "BenArfaa10" out in the final hand of the night. The tournament attracted 365 unique players who reentered 129 times to get to 494 entries to create a prize pool of $988,000.
"luelue399" burst the final table bubble to come in third in the counts but went on a bit of a rampage as they knocked out six players in the end to score a bounty of $94,961 which was more than the original $76,339 first-place prize. This is their first WCOOP or even any COOP-series title but they're definitely no stranger to the PokerStars virtual fields. They have won events like the Bigger $019 and made deep runs in the bigger tournaments during the busy series.
The final table also featured familiar faces and names like "I'MalliN.3lli", Kenny "SpaceyFCB" Hallaert, "PeroQmaloSoy", "proh1t", Eduardo "edudrake1987" Pires, and "Fear1sWisdom".

At the start of the day, there were 62 players left. Andy "wiisssppppaa" Taylor was first to go and by the time the first 30 minutes of the day had passed, there were 49 players left. Players like Joao "Naza114" Vieira, Fabian "!$eveeeeeeen!" Gumz, Enrico "WhaTisL0v3" Camosci, Bert "girafganger7" Stevens, and Aleksejs "APonakov" Ponakovs all fell before the second break of the day.
Marius "DEX888" Gierse, Andras "probirs" Nemeth, Konstantin "krakukra" Maslak, Michael "merla888" Gathy, Christian "eisenhower1" Jeppsson, Andrey "ThePateychuk" Pateychuk, and Jon "apestyles" Van Fleet all busted too after.
"luelue399" was one of the shortest stacks in the tournament when there were 15 players left but doubled up twice to get themselves to the middle of the pack while "PeroQmaloSoy" held a commanding chip lead over the rest after they had taken out Van Fleet. Jans "Graftekkel" Arends busted to D'Alterio before Pavel "MountainRo$e" Veksler was eliminated by "proh1t". In the end, Sergei "Futti18" Koliakov became the final table bubble thanks to the set "luelue399" had flopped.
"Fear1sWisdom" became the first final table victim of "luelue399" and then Pires was pushed out by "I'MalliN.3lli" in eighth place. A few pots went "luelue399"'s way but then they lost a chunk back to "proh1t". But from there on, "luelue399" seemed unstoppable.
They kept building their stack to grab the chip lead but the crucial hand came after almost 70 minutes of 7-handed play. "luelue399" called the five-bet shove of "proh1t" for 72 big blinds with aces. "proh1t" held queens and saw their big stack go to "luelue399" who then held almost two-thirds of the chips in play in their possession.
Within 20 minutes, D'Alterio took out "PeroQmaloSoy" first before "luelue399" took care of Hallaert and "I'MalliN.3lli", With almost 75% of all the chips in play, three-handed play was fast and furious with hardly any hands going to showdown.
"BenArfaa10" had gotten short and managed to survive one all-in but in the end, they three-bet shoved for 12 big blinds. D'Alterio had raised and then four-bet shoved for almost 40 big blinds to see "luelue399" call both of them with pocket tens. No danger came on the board as "luelue399" took both of them out in one fell swoop.
This concludes this event but the PokerNews live reporting is back in full force on Sunday, September 20 withcoverage of six different events so make sure to keep following along with all the action.
