Romeo, Oh Romeo

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Felix Schulze
Felix Schulze

There was already something brewing between Felix Schulze and Leonardo Romeo when the turn got dealt on {3-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{5-Spades}. Schulze bet 115,000 and Romeo called in position.

On the {8-Spades} river, Schulze fired out a hefty bet of 455,000. Both adversaries were seated next to each other and Romeo sized up his opponent from close by. After thinking for two minutes, the Italian shoved all in for a million more and Schulze instantly mucked his hand.

Coolers Crush Dijkkamp

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Lennart Dijkkamp
Lennart Dijkkamp

Lennart Dijkkamp suddenly found himself on the rail after two big hands in succession. There was nothing the young Dutchman could do about it, as he ran into two unavoidable setups in a row.

In the first hand, Petr Svoboda raised in early position with {A-}{Q-}. Behind him, Karel Mokry picked up {A-}{A-} and shoved for 440,000. Dijkkamp got dealt the setup with {K-}{K-} and went all in for 941,000.

It wasn't done yet; behind Dijkkamp, Michael Rhode picked up {A-}{K-}! With so much action in front of him, Rhode elected to fold his monster and Svoboda folded as well. Dijkkamp didn't hit the one outer and dropped to 501,000.

In the next hand, Thomas Bornicke opened the action with {9-}{9-}. Dijkkamp picked up {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and shoved for 496,000. Sonay Kehya woke up in the blinds with {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} and also went all in, leaving Bornicke with no choice but to fold.

The board ran out {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and Kehya spiked his ace to eliminate Dijkkamp. The river elicited a loud response from Bornicke, who would've won the hand had he stayed in with his pocket nines.

Dijkkamp finished in 32nd place and was the last to receive €4,269.

Patrick Bornicke raised from the cutoff and Lukas Zaskodny shoved for what looked like 350,000 out of the small blind, Bornicke called.

Lukas Zaskodny: {A-Spades}{2-Spades}
Patrick Bornicke: {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The board came {Q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Bornicke paired his queen to eliminate Zaskodny. "Do you want to switch seats?" table neighbor Lennard Dijkkamp joked, after he lost some chips to Bornicke earlier on

Chmelicek gets Pushed Around; Kabrhel Short

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Martin Kabrhel lost a pot to Gerhard Brimmers to drop back in the counts and soon after there was some action just a few meters over on the next table.

Michael Chmelicek faced the raise of Petr Svoboda from under the gun and three-bet to 160,000. Svoboda immetiately four-bet shoved when the action was back on him and Chmelicek folded ace-queen, Svoboda turned over {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}.

Then, Chmelicek raised to 54,000 and Lennart Dijkkamp called, as did Michael Rohde. On the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} flop the trio checked and Rohde then shoved the {9-Spades} turn for 311,000, both opponents folded.

Chmelicek got some chips back by three-bet shoving himself, but the day thus far saw him lose a decent portion of the stack.

Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier

On the {7-Clubs} turn, Jonuskis checked, Grospellier bet 133,000, Jonuskis check-shoved for 397,000 and Grospellier snap-called.

Bertrand Grospellier: {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Mindaugas Jonuskis: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

It was a massive cooler for Grospellier, who found himself drawing dead with top two pair against the nut full house. Jonuskis doubled up and passed Grospellier on the leaderboard.
