Falcon Multi Tables

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Michael Falcon was moved over to table one to balance the tables and immediately made an impact. He called a raise by Hoa Thinh Nguyen for 65,000 and then bet out of the big blind after a flop of {10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for 100,000. Nguyen folded and the pot was shipped to Falcon.

Falcon also raised to 150,000 from the small blind the next hand before scooping a pot post flop against Andre Peters. After that, he had a glance at his big stack in the PokerStars Cup, which is down to 11 players. Falcon is right there with an above-average stack, too ... .

Duc Nguyen Eliminated in 11th Place (PHP322,000)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Duc Nguyen
Duc Nguyen

There are no friends at the poker tables, a fact that Duc Nguyen has recently discovered, to his cost. It was Nguyen’s fellow countryman Hoa Thinh Nguyen (no relation) who kicked off proceedings by moving all-in from middle position. Big blind Duc Nguyen squeezed his cards and then made the call.

Duc Nguyen: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Hoa Thinh Nguyen: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

With no spade in hand and his tournament life on the line the all black {2-Spades}{8-Spades}{q-Spades} flop was not a good one for Duc Nguyen, while the {2-Clubs} turn doubled his outs with the seven of spades not being good for a full house.

There was no miracle, however, as the {5-Hearts} hit the river and brought Duc Nguyen’s Main Event to a close and he departed in 11th place taking home the equivalent of $6,399 while Hoa Thinh Nguyen stacked up to1,525,000.

Falcon Wins From Halme

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Michael Falcon made it 60,000 to go from middle position and Antti Halme made the call from the big blind to take play heads-up to a flop of {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}.

Halme check-called an 80,000 Falcon continuation bet and both players checked the {8-Spades} turn before Falcon fired for 150,000 on the {q-Hearts} river. Halme thought it over and slid in the call and Falcon turned over {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for a missed open ended straight draw and rivered top pair and his Finnish opponent tapped the table and mucked.

Yo Seb Rhee Eliminated in 12th Place (PHP322,000)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Yo Seb Rhee
Yo Seb Rhee

From under the gun, Hoa Thinh Nguyen raised to 65,000 and Yo Seb Rhee called in the small blind. Uday Bansal three-bet to 215,000 out of the big blind and that forced out Nguyen. Rhee however had other plans and clicked it back up to 600,000 with around 1,200,000 behind.

Bansal moved all in and that sent Rhee into the think tank. Ultimately, the Japanese called and the cards in the showdown triggered gasps from the other players and the rail.

Yo Seb Rhee: {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Uday Bansal: {K-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

The {K-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop improved Bansal to a pair of kings, while Rhee picked up some outs with the {9-Hearts} turn. All hearts except for the {8-Hearts} and any ace would do, but the {5-Diamonds} river bricked off to send Rhee to the rail in 12th place for PHP322,000.

Action folded around to Germany’s Raphael Gall on the button and he moved all-in for roughly 450,000 and was quickly called by big blind Uday Bansal.

Raphael Gall:{10-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Uday Bansal: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

It was left to a good old-fashioned race to decide Gall’s fate and the flop fell {7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{a-Clubs} to keep the Indian player in front. Gall received no help on the {7-Spades} or the {q-Clubs} river and departed in 13th, taking home the equivalent of $6,399 while Bansal stacked up to 3.25 million.

Falcon Pushes Out Halme

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Antti Halme raised to 65,000 and Michael Falcon called on the button. The flop fell {Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, which both players checked.

After the {J-Hearts} turn, Halme checked, while Falcon bet 75,000. Halme's check-raise to 200,000 was met by a click back to 400,000 by Falcon and Halme called before checking the {8-Hearts} river. Falcon took the chance and bet hefty 800,000, and Halme folded after some consideration.

Razavi Shows a Bluff Against Falcon

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Jaehyun Lim was the initial raiser from under the gun and picked up two callers in Michael Falcon from the cutoff and Sam Razavi on the button. After a flop of {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, the trio invested 100,000 each and the {4-Diamonds} fell on the turn. Lim checked and Falcon bet 200,000, which Razavi called and scared off Lim.

The {8-Clubs} river brought a check by Falcon and Razavi moved all in. After two minutes, Razavi said in table chat "I show if you show" and the Dane folded {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for a pair of tens face up. Razavi flashed {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for a busted open-ended straight draw and claimed the pot.
