Leandro Schmidt Doubles Up in an Early Setup Hand

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

A player in early position limped in, as well as a player on the button. Gustavo Moscon was in the small blind and raised to 450. Leandro Schmidt was in the big blind and three-bet to 1,400. Both callers folded and Moscon called.

The flop was {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Moscon checked. Schmidt bet 1,050 and Moscon, check-raised to 3,800. Schmidt called.

The turn was the {9-Spades} and Moscon led out for 6,600. Schmidt went into the tank for two minutes before deciding to call.

The river was the {5-Spades} and Moscon announced all in. Schmidt, snap-called and quickly tabled {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for the ace high flush. Moscon, with a bewildered look on his face, showed {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for the king high flush. The entire table said, "wow, cooler!" all at the same time.
