Paul Newey Scores a Triple

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Action folded to a short-stacked Paul Newey on the button and he moved all in for 15,700. Justin Bonomo called from the small blind, Dan Colman did the same from the big, and then both active players checked it down as the board ran out {8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}.

Bonomo: {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Newey: {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Colman: {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Newey rivered the straight and that was good enough to score the triple.

Everyone Loves a Chopped Pot

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Leo Fernandez raised to 5,000 from early position and Steve O'Dwyer three-bet to 14,000 from the button. Justin Bonomo then four-bet all in for roughly 90,000 from the big blind and Fernandez ditched his hand. O'Dwyer made the call and the cards were turned up.

O'Dwyer: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Bonomo: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Both players held the same hand, but there were still flush considerations. They disappeared though on the {6-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop. The meaningless {7-Hearts} and {10-Hearts} were run out on the turn and river respectively, and the two players took back their chips.

$50K Super High Roller Champ Ben Tollerene Eliminated

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Ben Tollerene
Ben Tollerene

After Dario Sammartino raised to 4,000 under the gun and Erik Seidel called from the small blind, Ben Tollerene three-bet jammed for 50,600 from the big.

Sammartino paused for a few beats before making the call, and that prompted Seidel to get out of the way.

Sammartino: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Tollerene: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Tollerene was pipped and needed to improve to stay alive. That didn't happen though as instead the board ran out an unhelpful {10-Spades}{q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{a-Clubs}. Tollerene is out, but we're guessing he'll exercise his single re-entry option in due time.

Chidwick Sets Up Aido

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We missed the action unfold in Sergio Aido's elimination hand, but we do know a few specifics. It appeared as if the Spaniard got his stack in on the turn with the board reading {2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{k-Spades}.

Aido held a pair of kings with {k-}{q-} but Chidwick had flopped a set with the {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}. The {8-Diamonds} river was of no consequence and Aido hit the rail.
