Chartier More Than Doubles In First Hand
Level 9
: 600/1,200, 200 ante
Daniel Dvoress opened to 3,000 from middle position and Sam Chartier, who had just bought in and was playing his first hand, three-bet to 8,200 from the cutoff. Small blind Rafael Moraes cold four-bet to 25,000 with about 61,000 behind.
Action was back on Dvoress after the big bind folded and he pushed forward a stack worth well over 100,000 to put both players to the test. Chartier had 49,800 to start the hand after paying the 200 ante and called all in. Moraes tanked for a bit before tossing his cards into the muck.
Daniel Dvoress:
Sam Chartier:
"You got spades," Chartier said.
"If it makes you feel any better," McDonald added, "I had spades."
The board ran out and Dvoress parted ways with a big portion of his chips.
