Zang’s Creative Play Pays Off
We have just lost one more with Shunu Zang the man wielding the executioner’s axe. Pre-flop it was John Juanda who opened the action with a raise to 5,800 from the button.
Sitting in the small blind Shunu Zang re-raised to 17,000 only to see big blind Yu Liang quickly ship the last of his 57,100 stack in.
“Oh!” exclaimed Zang, “I don’t have a very good hand.”
Nevertheless Zang decided the chance to eliminate Liang, who was on his second bullet, was too good to pass up and made the call.
Shunu Zang:
Yu Liang:
Poker is all about making the wrong move at the right time and Zang hit gin when the flop fell to giggles from the rest of the table, Liang included.
There were no running straight cards to help Liang when the turn and river ran out and respectively and we lose another.
All that excitement brings us to our first break of the day.
