Kaiser Gets Some

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Ronny Kaiser won the first limped pot after play resumed when he checked down the board of {K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} against Benjamin Pollak. "I have a pair," Kaiser joked and showed {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}. There was no betting either on the board of {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{A-Spades} and Kaiser won the pot with {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} against Markus Durnegger.

Franz Ditz Eliminated in 4th Place (363,100)

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante
Franz Ditz
Franz Ditz

Franz Ditz doubled soon after coming back from the dinner break when he open-shoved the small blind for 890,000 with {Q-Hearts}{5-Spades}. Ronny Kaiser called in the big blind with {A-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Ditz got there on the board of {K-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{6-Hearts}.

The next hand, Pollak raised first to act and Ditz moved in from the button. Pollak snap-called and the cards were tabled.

Franz Ditz: {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Benjamin Pollak: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}

The {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop provided a ten, but Ditz was still in need of running outs to stay in contention. It was all over after the {3-Hearts} turn, making the {10-Spades} river a formality.

Georgios Sotiropoulos Eliminated in 5th Place (284,700)

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante
Georgios Sotiropoulos
Georgios Sotiropoulos

Georgios Sotiropoulos was first to act and raised to 215,000. Ronny Kaiser on the button was the only caller.

The flop came {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Sotiropoulos bet 250,000, Kaiser called.

Sotiropoulos checked on the {J-Clubs} turn and called Kaiser's 575,000 bet.

With the {4-Spades} completing the board, Sotiropoulos checked again. Kaiser took his time before he shoved all in. Sotiropoulos wasn't too happy and used his 30 seconds before a time bank card was tossed in. He needed some more time but eventually reluctantly called.

"I got lucky," Kaiser said almost apologetic as he showed {10-Spades}{Q-Spades}.

Sotiropoulos wanted to muck but his cards were eventually turned over: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}.

Durnegger Takes the Lead

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

Ronny Kaiser raised to 225,000 and Markus Durnegger called from the cutoff. The flop fell {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Kaiser checked, Durnegger let the clock go down to three seconds and bet 325,000, which Kaiser called.

After the {6-Diamonds} turn, Kaiser checked again and Durnegger bet 1,000,000. Kaiser used one time bank and called before checking again the {2-Hearts} on the river. Durnegger bet 3,000,000 and Kaiser used one of his two remaining time banks. The Swiss stood up from his chair, shook his head and studied the board as well as his opponent. Ultimately he mucked and Durnegger dragged in the pot without showing any card.

Georgios Sotiropoulos opened to 300,000 from the small blind and Franz Ditz glanced over at the stack of his opponent before announcing all in. Sotiropoulos snap-called within less than a second and was the player at risk with the far superior kicker.

Georgios Sotiropoulos: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Franz Ditz: {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}

The board ran out {J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and Sotiropoulos doubled for 2,375,000, leaving Ditz short with just 12 big blinds.
