Bill Perkins Rides the Rollercoaster

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Bill Perkins is always one of the most fun players to watch take on a High Roller field, but even by his standards for the spectacular, the last two hands were dramatic!

First, Perkins was all-in pre-flop with the best of it, holding {A-Spades}{K-Spades} against his opponent Isaac Haxton's {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. The board looked to be giving Perkins all the money but had a sting in its tail as it came {9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{J-Spades} to give Haxton Broadway.

In the very next hand, Perkins got his remaining 72,000 into the middle pre-flop with {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and was called by Sergi Reixach, who held {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. The flop of {7-Spades}{K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} gave both players a sweat and the cards were slid into position, but the turn {3-Diamonds} and river {4-Spades} saw Perkins hold on.

"Admit it, you thought quad queens were coming there, didn't ya?" asked a friend of Bill's hopes in the hand.

"What a couple of hands. I felt sure they wanted rid of me when he flopped a set, but I got one too, it's all good."
