Sam Soverel Leads Final 7 in PokerGO Cup Event #3: $10K NLHE
The hotbed of high-stakes poker action at the PokerGO Studio at the ARIA Resort and Casino continues with the PokerGO Cup Event #3: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em attracting 53 entries to create a $530,000 prize pool.
Sam Soverel will enter the final table with a commanding chip lead with 2,430,000 in chips, which represents more than double that of his nearest competitor Steve Zolotow with 1,135,000 in chips.
Just behind this duo are two other players to keep your eyes on in Sergi Reixach (1,000,000), who eliminated Seth Davies on the bubble, and Dylan Linde (755,000). Both players have already finished in third place in a PokerGO Cup event and could take the lead on the PokerGO Cup Leaderboard if they finish in first or second place in Event #3.
PokerGO founder Cary Katz (530,000), Chris Brewer (470,000), and Bill Klein (305,000) are also still in contention and will aim to spin up their short stacks.
Meanwhile, Daniel Negreanu, who finished on the bubble in Event #1 and not getting even that far in Event #2, walked away with a better result despite missing out on the final table. In a cooler of a hand, Soverel jammed the turn with ace-eight with two eights on the board and Negreanu called off his stack with ten-eight. Negreanu was unable to resolve his kicker problems and was the final player eliminated on Day 1 in eighth place for a min-cash of $21,200.
