Erquiaga Wins Longest Hand of the Day
In a pot that took over 10 minutes to play out, David Erquiaga has edged in front of Yu You Tsai in the chip counts. Both players spent so much time in the tank this hand that its a wonder the Taiwanese army has any heavy ordinance left.
It was a blind on blind battle between the two, with Tsai making it 80,000 to go in the small blind, and Erquiaga re-raising to 225,000. There was some thinking on Tsai's part before he made the call and the flop came down .
After quite some time, both players elected to check. The turn saw Tsai check once more, and Erquiaga made a delayed continuation bet of 200,000. Tsai counted out the call, then sat back in his chair and thought some more. Eventually, Tsia made the call and the river completed the hand.
After a third check from Tsai, Erquiaga made it 300,000 to go. An ice age later, Tsai's hand hit the muck.
