Gruendemann Gets Going
Ireland's Mark Gruendemann has not long taken his seat and has wasted no time padding out his stack in a multiway pot.
Following an under-the-gun limp, Gruendemann made the call from one seat over, as did neighbor Kedong Liu, button Carson Wong and both players in the blinds to take the action six-way to a flop of .
Action checked to Gruendemann, who took a stab for 1,050 with Liu the only caller. The turn saw both remaining player check, with Gruendemann taking another stab on the river, betting 3,000 into a pot of 3,200.
Liu examined the board closely but eventually decided that a fold was the best option, leaving Gruendemann to scoop the pot and climb to 53,200. Liu still has evidently been busy though as still has 64,000 in chips, even after making the fold.
