Martirosian Scores Massive Double In First Couple Hands

Level 1 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Artur Martirosian
Artur Martirosian

Artur Martirosian opened to 2,500 from under the gun and it folded to Andrew Lichtenberger in the cutoff who three-bet to 9,000. Martirosian put in a four-bet to 26,000 and Lichtenberger made the call.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Martirosian checked to Lichtenberger who bet out 12,500. Martirosian took a moment before putting in a check-raise to 45,000, which Lichtenberger called.

On the {9-Spades} turn Martirosian continued the aggression with a sizing to 30,000, and again Lichtenberger came along. The {7-Spades} completed the board and Martirosian moved all in for 165,000, putting Lichtenberger deep in the tank.

After using three time bank cards, Lichtenberger tossed in a chip for the call and the hands were tabled. Martirosian rolled over {a-Spades}{k-Spades} for the nut-flush and Lichtenberger flashed {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} for the cracked cowboys. Lichtenberger was left with only three big blinds after the massive hand for Martirosian.
